Science

The formula is not
the innovation.
The process is.

Every ingredient in Nexjena is a plant you already know. Ginger. Lemongrass. Guava leaf. Black pepper. None of them are new.

What is new is how we use them. The supplement industry takes the part of each plant that looks like medicine — the root, the bud, the berry — and discards the rest. We use the whole plant. The peel. The leaf. The stem. The outer hull. Parts that conventional supply chains treat as agricultural waste.

The science shows those parts contain the same bioactive compounds as the parts everyone else uses. Sometimes at higher concentrations. We source from our own land across Indonesia — plantations we own and manage directly.

That is what transparency means at Nexjena. Not milligrams on a label. Every ingredient declared. Every batch verified.

We use the whole plant."

Four Botanicals

What is inside.
And why.

Four ingredients. All tropical origin. All named in Latin on the label. All third-party tested. None of them are new. What is new is which parts of each plant we use — and the science behind that choice.

Ginger
Zingiber officinale
1,300 mg per serving
Industry standard vs. Nexjena
Root only ✗ industryRoot ✓Peel ✓Leaf ✓Fiber residue ✓
Mechanism of action
In plain terms: ginger's active compounds reduce inflammation quickly — working in a similar way to common pain relievers, but without the stomach side effects.
Ginger's bioactive compounds — gingerols, shogaols, and zingerone — inhibit COX-2 and LOX enzyme pathways, suppressing prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis. The same mechanism as NSAIDs, without the gastrointestinal side effects. Gingerol has a plasma half-life of approximately two hours — meaning it begins acting within the same window you steep a serving.
Lemongrass
Cymbopogon citratus
1,000 mg per serving
Industry standard vs. Nexjena
Inner stalk only ✗ industryInner stalk ✓Outer leaf ✓Outer stem ✓
Mechanism of action
In plain terms: lemongrass compounds help calm the body's inflammatory response and neutralise the cellular damage that comes with immune stress.
Lemongrass citral compounds — geranial and neral — suppress TNF-alpha production and modulate NF-κB signalling, two of the primary inflammatory pathways activated during early immune stress. The flavonoid content, including luteolin and apigenin, adds a secondary antioxidant layer that neutralises reactive oxygen species produced during the immune response.
Guava leaf
Psidium guajava
600 mg per serving
Industry standard vs. Nexjena
Fruit only ✗ industryLeaf ✓Leaf peel ✓Stem ✓
Mechanism of action
In plain terms: guava leaf directly activates the body's immune response — increasing the white blood cells that fight infection and inhibiting the viral enzymes that allow pathogens to replicate.
Guava leaf's principal bioactive compound is quercetin — a flavonoid that inhibits viral RNA polymerase and NS2B-NS3 protease enzymes critical to dengue and other viral replication pathways. A randomised clinical trial demonstrated that guava leaf extract at 1,000mg significantly increased lymphocyte percentage, reduced neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, and accelerated viral clearance. Quercetin also inhibits NF-κB-driven inflammatory cytokine production, reducing IL-1β and IL-6 during immune activation.
Black pepper
Piper nigrum
100 mg per serving
Industry standard vs. Nexjena
Ripe berry only ✗ industryBerry ✓Pericarp (outer hull) ✓
Mechanism of action
In plain terms: black pepper piperine helps your body absorb the other three botanicals significantly more effectively — it is included as a delivery mechanism, not just a spice.
Black pepper piperine serves a specific systemic role in the Nexjena formula: it inhibits CYP3A4 metabolic enzymes in the intestinal wall, slowing the first-pass elimination of the other three botanical compounds and measurably increasing their bioavailability. Research demonstrates up to a 2,000% increase in compound absorption when co-administered with piperine.
The Nexjena Difference

Every plant gives more
than one part.

The spice industry buys the bud. The food industry buys the root. The supplement industry buys the extract. Everyone leaves something behind.

Nexjena was built on a different principle. We source botanicals from land we own and manage directly across Indonesia — every part of each plant that contains meaningful concentrations of the compounds we are formulating for.

This is a science story. The discarded parts work. The research confirms it. Our third-party safety testing confirms it. The batch certificates confirm it.

The formula on the label has four ingredients. The formula in the pouch uses every bioactive fraction of each of those four plants. Every fraction is grounded in published science. Every batch is third-party verified. Nothing is wasted. Nothing is hidden.

How it is made

The process
is the product.

STEP 01
Whole-plant harvest
We harvest the complete plant from our own land across Indonesia — not just the commercially traded fraction. Ginger root, peel, and leaf. Guava leaf, stem, and peel. Every part that contains bioactive compounds.
STEP 02
Separate fraction drying
Each plant fraction is dried and milled separately. Root and peel are not mixed at harvest. Bud and leaf are processed independently. This preserves the distinct bioactive profiles of each fraction for individual assay.
STEP 03
Science-led blending
Each fraction is included on the basis of published, peer-reviewed research confirming the presence of the principal bioactive compound — gingerols, citral, quercetin, piperine — across all plant parts used. The formulation is grounded in documented science, not assumption.
STEP 04
Whole-plant blend by weight
Fractions are combined by declared weight to produce the final botanical powder. The dose on the label is the dose in the pouch. No proprietary blends. No hidden fractions. Every ingredient and its amount fully declared.
STEP 05
Third-party verification
Every final batch is tested by an independent Singapore laboratory for heavy metals, microbial quality, and drugs and poisons. Batch certificates available on request. No batch ships without passing all three.
LAB · THIRD PARTY

Third-party tested.
Every batch.

Independent laboratory testing in Singapore. Heavy metals. Microbial quality. Drugs and poisons. Not once at launch. Not annually. Every batch, before it ships. Batch certificates available on request.

SCIENCE · PUBLISHED RESEARCH

Formulation grounded
in published science.

Every whole-plant fraction claim is supported by peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed and major academic journals. Gingerols in ginger peel. Quercetin in guava leaf. Citral in lemongrass outer leaf. Piperine in black pepper pericarp. The science exists. We built the formula around it.
